Like we said earlier, we're loving this trend! Here's some more inspiration from this month's Glamour magazine - click to view full size. P.S. Can you believe Mischa Barton is actually a "Do" for once?!

Don't Forget - Oktoberfest at Periwinkle is Tomorrow!
Don't forget about our Oktoberfest event tomorrow, Saturday the 25th! We're open 10am - 6pm with a variety of seasonal beers for you to try (read: bring your man along!) as well as traditional german goodies from Heidelberg Bakery in Arlington.
Of course, we're also having a 1-day Oktoberfest sale! Receive 20% off all full-price items and an extra 10% of already reduced items (there are a lot!).
We hope you can make it!
And no, us Periwinkle gals will NOT be outfitted in "beer maiden" outfits - phew! :)

A "Tight" Must-Try Fall Trend
D.C. has finally gotten a bit of chill in the air, and we're excited to start to work in one of our favorite fall trends that everyone can try - colored opaque tights!
We've got royal blue, magenta, chocolate, heather grey and of course black opaque tights by HUE to put some trendy spice into your autumn wardrobe. Our Periwinkle model shows off the easiest way to work this trend...take a simple black dress or skirt and make it pop with a bright tight. But, don't limit yourself just to black over your colored tights! Greys, browns, navys and most other basic colors and even simple prints are also good candidates for this trend.
Have a less-simple dress or skirt that needs to be updated? Our designers are showing everything, including sparkly and sassy holiday dresses, with opaque black tights! Adding black tights to almost any skirt or dress instantly makes your outfit current. AND, adding an opaque tight, especially black, can make you feel more comfortable in short hemlines!
And YES, it's OK to wear your opaque tights with peep toe shoes! We know, we know, it's been a major faux pas in the past, but it's definitely A-OK this fall and winter. In fact, it's fashion forward! BUT, panty hose with open toe is still kind of...ugly.
Stop on over to Periwinkle to grab a pair of fun tights before they're all gone. Don't forget about Oktoberfest here this Saturday! :)
